On 20th August tenants as well as friends of the German Centre Indonesia came together for another Business Luncheon at the Jakarta-Berlin room on the 7th floor of the German Centre. Mr. Jens Reisch, CEO of Allianz Life Indonesia, gave a presentation about “Marketing Intangibles”. After a short update about Allianz, which is one of the world’s largest insurance companies, he explained the challenge that the marketing of intangible products, like financial services, poses, since these products can’t be touched or tried out (like cars or food or clothing). The solution is to connect them with images and emotion to make them tangible. Interestingly, over the recent years Allianz changed they marketing strategy by shifting the paradigm of “creating fear” to “creating trust” since this was found to be a more sustainable strategy. The highly interesting Presentation of Mr. Reisch was followed by an lively question and answer session. |
